Event movement system added + Question for you
I'd probably prefer a fixed camera angle myself. Fighting the camera is never fun.
If you do setup some sort of fixed camera angle, maybe you could code up some system for making objects that are currently completely covering the PC's sprite partially transparent?

Moving water and 100~ dwarves/creatures gets me down to 5fps. One or the other has to go (usually the first).

This was actually the first rpgmaker game I stumbled across and played a couple years ago! At the time I played it I didn't know it was made in rpgmaker, but it was the first rpgmaker game I played.
I recall it being a pretty decent game, except for the slow walk speed. (Yep, that's all I remember about it, general decency, slow walk speed, and that you could get a dragon in your party.)

comment=33742The time mage sounds interesting, even though it isn't a character anyone would use often! I like the chest mimic idea too, you should make it that annoying type of chest that one shots for high damage then casts absorb spells until it has enough mp to do it again. (<~Golden Sun mimics sucked when playing through the game with a low level party.)
So, the 8 classes are set, but I was thinking of having certain prebuilt characters join you on specific quests. One would be a chest mimic named Chester who is tired of just hanging around the tower waiting for unsuspecting heroes. Another would be a Time Mage, who's skills would be based on the current time in Ruby's Time class. "Time Mage casts Current Time!" *does 837 damage* (since it is 8:37 PM). And some skill are unlocked depending n the day of the week.
I'm not dead yet.
Or better yet, instead of living in Canada, become an enterprising businessman in the land of the free, and home of the brave! Start smuggling toilets across the Canadian border today!

RM2k3 Double Battle Speed Hack (Release)
Let me rephrase that, I don't sink very many hours into playing rpgs; it's not just by the engine. I'm just not planning on playing anything made in RM2k3 until the next Generica is finished. Also, I might eventually make a hack that just changes the ATB, I'm going to keep at this for a while.
